Installation

  1. Download the App

    Click the download button above to get the latest version of Microverse.

  2. Extract and Move

    Double-click the downloaded ZIP file to extract it, then drag Microverse.app to your Applications folder.

  3. Grant Permissions

    On first launch, macOS may ask you to confirm security prompts. If you enable optional features (Current location weather or AirPods battery alerts), you may also be prompted for Location or Bluetooth access.

  4. Start Monitoring

    Look for the alien icon (👽) in your menu bar. Click it to access all features!

🔒 Security & Privacy

macOS Permissions

Microverse uses local system APIs for monitoring. Optional features may request permission (Location for current-location weather, Bluetooth for AirPods battery). Microverse does not record audio or collect analytics.

Gatekeeper

If you see "Microverse can't be opened because it is from an unidentified developer", right-click the app and select "Open" to bypass Gatekeeper.

No Data Collection

Microverse does not collect or sell personal data. System monitoring is local; optional features (updates + weather) make network requests to their providers.

Build from Source

For developers who want to build Microverse themselves:

# Clone the repository
git clone https://github.com/ashwch/microverse.git
cd microverse

# Build with Xcode
xcodebuild -scheme Microverse -configuration Release
